Pac-Man and Megaman to Join Street Fighter X Tekken Cast as PS3/Vita Exclusive

Capcom announced last night that two more exclusive characters will be available on the upcoming Street Fighter X Tekken on the PlayStation Vita.  These iconic characters have long histories in the Capcom and Namco universes.  You guessed it!  They’re Megaman and…Pac-Man?

Based on the artwork on the original Megaman box cover, our hero dons the yellow and blue costume and helmet he sported when he landed on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987.  There are some differences as he’s a bit more muscular in the trailer (featured below) and shows off a bit of a gut, but then again, don’t many of us children of the 80’s have those?

Kicking ass alongside our blue boy wonder is Namco’s very own Pac-Man.  What?  You thought he was a pacifist?  He eats his enemies!

Ahem.  Perched atop Mokujin, Pac-Man is seen delivering some seriously devastating blows to Ryu both in and out of his lumbering wooden mech.  Megaman and Pac-Man will both be teaming up with previously announced PS3/Vita exclusive characters Cole (from InFamous), as well as Sony’s Japanese PlayStation mascots, Toro and Koro.  The roster is getting pretty full as Street Fighter X Tekken prepares to launch on to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles on March 6 for North America and March 9 for Europe.

Stay tuned for our full review this March!
