Canada Unleashed at the GDC 2013

22 of Canada’s brightest starts will be featured in Telefilm Canada’s Video Game Showcase as the Game Developer’s Conference from March 25-29, 2013 in San Francisco this year.

The GDC features some of the best and brightest video game developers every year.  Canada, being the third most important market in the video game industry will be there to feature some of their talent along with the help of Telefilm.  On March 26th at 10 am the Canada Business Lounge in the Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco opened their doors to potential investors, collaborators and distributors.  Local Canadian talent will have the opportunity to meet and greet and show off their upcoming projects.

You can see some of the work being done in this short Telefilm video:

An example of just a few of the video game companies being featured are Drinkbox Studios, Fourth Monkey and Phantom Compass among others.

A sample of some of the main attractions include the Canada Business Lounge which will be open on March 26-29 and is a perfect meeting place for Canadian companies with WiFi access and is just steps away from the Moscone Center where the GDC is being held.  There will be International Publisher sessions with companies from the US, China, Brazil and Japan and will be open for Canadian companies to meet and greet with.  There will also be a networking event at Jillian’s on the 27th.  More info on the networking event can be gotten by sending an email to emily@ciaic.ca

If you would like a chance to speak with some of the participants during or after the event, this is the place to be!
