Save Data Transfer, Standby Downloads Now On Nintendo 3DS

A new downloadable update has been released for the 3DS which will add some new features that all fans of the system are sure to love.

One of the new features is the ability to transfer save data from a purchased version of a game to a digitally downloaded version.  Now you won’t have to start over if you decide to purchase a digital version.  You can just pick right up from where you left off.  If you decide to do this, however, you won’t be able to move the save back to a physical copy of the game at a later date.

Another feature is the ability to continue downloads while the system is asleep.  No longer do you have to keep the cover open and awake while trying to get that all important game or DLC downloaded.  All you have to do now is just close the cover while the eShop is running and that will activate the “download later” feature that will enable to the download to continue.
