Need For Speed Rivals Coming to Xbox One and Playstation 4

EA has announced that their new racing game, Need For Speed Rivals, will be coming to Xbox One and Playstation 4.  But owners of Xbox 360 and PS3 need not be upset because it will also be released to those consoles as well as PC on November 19 of this year.

The game, being developed by EA’s newest studio Ghost Games, will enable to you to play either as a cop or a racer in the ultimate battle for road supremacy.  Each side provides their own set of high stakes challenges, rewards and consequences.

As a racer, take risks behind the wheel and capture your most daring escapes on video for the world to see.  Rack up the Speed Points to unlock new cars and items.  Become so infamous that you are a target for the police.  The more risks you take the better the rewards.  But beware, you can lose it all if you’re caught.

As a cop, work as part of a team to capture the racers.  The more racers you bust the faster you’ll rise up in the ranks as well as unlock police only cars and powerful pursuit tech.

And, Ghost Games announced the return of Ferrari to the Need For Speed franchise.  For the first time in seven years players will be able to get behind the wheel of some of Ferrari’s most desirable cars including the F12berlinetta.  Spokesperson Stefano Saporetti, Head of Brand Operations in Ferrari added, “We are back in the Need For Speed franchise, starting with Need For Speed Rivals, as we want the fans of this world-famous and award-winning racing game saga to be able again to feel the excitement of the Ferrari Brand and cars.”

Some of the new features available in Need For Speed Rivals are:

  • Next-Gen Racing – Redview County will feature next-generation detail and weather effects that will force drivers to try master both the elements as well as the competition.
  • Need for Speed Network Powered by Autolog – Compare stats and challenge your friends anytime, anywhere and share your accomplishments online.
