Wargaming Reveals World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition

Wargaming, the world’s leading MMO developer has marked its introduction to console gaming with World of Tanks:  Xbox 360 Edition.  The game was built specifically for the Xbox 360 and will bring its trademark team-based tactical action and free-to-play features to tens of millions of Xbox Live gamers.

World of Tanks:  Xbox 360 Edition is published by Microsoft and developed by Wargaming (formerly Day 1 Studios) and will be available for digital download and free to play for Xbox Live Gold members.  Xbox Live Silver members will be able to play the game free for seven days.  Taking advantage of the Xbox 360’s gaming features, the game will have revamped controls, matchmaking, and a new user interface.  It will also feature in-game purchases such as premium tanks, consumables, and premium accounts to boost experience and currency accrual.

There will be an open beta of the game which you can sign up for on the game’s website.  The beta will contain tanks from the US and Germany.  Wargaming has plans to add new tanks, nations and content starting from the launch of the game and moving into the future.
