Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara Available Today

Capcom has been working closely with Wizards of the Coast to bring you Dungeons & Dragons:  Chronicles of Mystara.  The game, encompassing 2 games previously only available in arcades.  The games included in the download are Dungeons & Dragons:  Tower of Doom and Dungeons & Dragons:  Shadow Over Mystara and it is available for the PS3 and Steam now and will be released to the Xbox 360 and Europe tomorrow and released to the Wii U shortly thereafter.

Both titles are 2D side scrolling RPG adventures and will allow up to four players online or locally against the classic monsters of the D&D genre.  The game will offer seamless drop in/drop out online gameplay in each of the games two modes.  The game offers the classic arcade mode with branching paths and multiple endings as well as a House Rules mode which will allow you to customize options and gameplay for a whole new experience.  A good example of this is would be “Vampirism” awards health for every attack dealt to an enemy and “Lockpick” would open all chests.

Also included in the game will be a Challenge system that will set in-game goals for players.  Players will also have access to a Character Visualizer which will track which types of characters they and their friends use the most.  This will help to create a more balanced party.  The Wii U version of the game will allow spells casts and item select option to be used with the controllers screen.

Dungeons & Dragons:  Chronicles of Mystara will be priced at $14.99/€14.99/£11.99/1200MSP.
