Kerberos Announces Sword of the Stars: Ground Pounders
Kerberos Productions has had a very successful run with their hit, The Pit. But now, they’ve announced the coming of their newest game, Sword of the Stars: Ground Pounders. The game is inspired by such classic games as Panzer General and is well steeped in the lore of Sword of the Stars.
In Ground Pounders, you’ll have the option to play as one of three different factions. Each faction is comprised of several dozen types of units. Take your units and battle across a variety of worlds while building experience and abilities over three separate campaigns. Use your experience and abilities to unlock special action cards that will add effects to your units during single player or cross platform multiplayer battles.
- Control one of three armies – Human, Tarka and Hivers
- 80+ units covering land, sea and air
- Battle across alien worlds
- Build airfields, fortify areas and repair or destroy bridges
- Unlock and collect combat cards for each race
You can get a taste of Ground Pounders by checking out the Alpha Demo for PC. Ground Pounders is the second title by Kerberos Productions and the first to use a Kickstarter campaign as a way to communicate with fans of both Sword of the Stars universe and strategy wargames. With the help of Kickstarter, Kerberos hopes to bring Ground Pounders to PC and across other platforms for a Christmas release.
