Charles Dance to voice the Emperor of Nilfgaard in Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

HBO’s Game of Thrones has brought forth some very memorable characters.  But none so remarkable as the cold-blooded Tywin Lannister.  Now, Charles Dance, who plays the ruthless nobleman as well as characters in Alien 3 and The Last Action Hero will be making the jump to Nilfgaard to voice a major character in CD Projekt Red’s upcoming game, The Witcher 3.

“Charles Dance is the perfect candidate to play the might Nilfgaardian emprorer in our upcoming title.  It’s a dream cone true for the team here at RED to be able to work with such an accomplished actor and magnetic personality,” said Marcin Blacha, Lead Writer for the title.

The trailer, “Killing Monsters”, released yesterday shows No Man’s Land, a part of the north under Nilfgaardian rule.  Nilfgaard invaded at the end of The Witcher 2:  Assassins of Kings and the Emperor wasted no time in sowing the seeds of terror and despair to the residents of the land.  Find out what happens next when The Witcher 3:  Wild Hunt releases to the PC, Xbox One and PS4 in 2014.
