The Terminator Is Coming

Reef Entertainment is proud to announce that they’ve acquired the video game rights to both The Terminator and Terminator 2:  Judgment Day.  With this acquisition, they are now planning the release of Terminators:  The Video Game which will be based on the rights from those two movies.

A Reef spokesperson said, “Here at Reef we are huge fans of the 1984 and 1991 Sci-Fi action master-pieces.  It’s an incredible opportunity and an equally huge responsibility to create a game that does great justice to the motion-pictures.  We are studying all aspects and influences of the Terminator universe defined in Terminator and Terminator 2:  Judgment Day.  We have started on our journey and are drawing on all the diverse materials available to produce a high quality, authentic and exciting Terminator video game.”

The Terminator was released in 1984 and is considered to be a cult classic.  With only 18 lines throughout the whole movie, Arnold Schwarzenegger made the T-800 one of the scariest movie villains of all time.  His return in 1991 in Terminator 2:  Judgment day as one of the heroes only served to widen the fan base for the series.

Reef Entertainment plans to release more information about this project as it continues.  Being a fan of the series myself, I am definitely looking forward to seeing what they come up with.
