Australia Passes R18+ Games For The Rest Of Us
After a years long battle, the Australian Parliament has finally had an epiphany; that adults play video games too. The Sydney Morning Herald has reported that the classification brings Australia in-line with the rest of the world in regards to video game ratings. It will also allow the sale of video games with violent content to be sold to adults without modification of the game as has been the case in the past.
”The reforms also mean that adults are able to choose what games they play within the bounds of the law,” Minister for Home Affairs and Justice, Jason Clare, said.
So let’s welcome our Australian brothers and sisters to the fold of violent video gaming; because the next time you get fragged, that grenade might have come from Down Under.
