A Petition To Put Master Chief On The White House Lawn?

Recently, a petition popped up on the internet calling for Halo series protagonist John-117 (AKA The Master Chief) to be honored via a statue on the white house lawn.

Originally found in a Top 11 Ridiculous White House Petitions list, the act in question has a goal of reaching 25,000 signatures by December 14th, 2012.   Unfortunately  it  seems unlikely that this vision will be realized – especially since at the time of this post the ticker is only reading just shy of 5,000.  Still, how cool would it be to see MC hanging out as you pass by the White House?  My guess is tourism would skyrocket.

If you think this is a worthwhile cause, then feel free to give the petition a sign.  Though, even if they do get the 25,000 signatures, I wouldn’t exactly hold your breath waiting for the White House to unveil its latest six-foot tall green and gold lawn gnome.
