The Wolf Among Us Announced

Are you afraid of the big bad wolf?

If not, then you’re going to love this.  Telltale Games and DC Entertainment have announced the release of The Wolf Among us this summer.  Based on the highly popular comic book series, Fables,  under the Vertigo line of DC comics, this game is scheduled for release this summer on Xbox 360, Playstation Network and PC and Mac from the Telltale Online Store.

The Fables comic line universe is based on the theory that the people from stories such as Pinocchio, Snow White and the Big Bad Wolf are real and living among us… complete with all their powers and abilities.

“Developing ‘The Wolf Among Us’ based on the ‘Fables’ universe has allowed our studio to build upon all the hallmarks of what makes our episodic series so engaging for players,” said Dan Connors, CEO and Co-Found of Telltale Games.  “Through an evolution of our approach to choice and consequence, we can further explore the complexity of each and every iconic character in a universe rich with untold history from the darkest sides of the storybooks.”

The story follows Bigby Wolf, AKA The Big Bad Wolf, a sheriff of his community in New York City.  He has been exiled from the land of fairy tales and been tasked by Snow White to keep order for the mythical creatures within the community while trying to stay hidden from the normal mundane people.  You’ll have fun while dealing with characters such as a chain-smoking member of the Three Little Pigs and a car stealing Mr Toad while trying to survive the mean streets of New York City.
