Skylanders SWAP Force E3 Trailer Released
Skylanders has now expanded on their award winning game with SWAP Force. Now you’ll be able to swap the top and bottom halves of your characters to get new powers and abilities. At the moment there are 16 characters that can be purchased to swap with.
In Skylanders SWAP Force, Portal Masters find themselves in the middle of a whole new adventure in the Cloudbreak Islands. During an epic battle, the Skylanders were caught in the blast of a mystical volcano that erupts only once every 100 years. As a result they find themselves with the ability to swap body halves. Now they can take advantage of each others powers and abilities as well as their own. But KAOS is back with another evil plan and the SWAP Force must use all their new abilities to stop him.
With 16 new characters players will have the opportunity to create up to 250 new characters with unique powers and abilities. But for those who have a large collection of original characters don’t worry, you’ll still be able to use all your old characters from Skylanders Spyro’s Adventures and Skylanders Giants alongside the SWAP Force characters. With the level cap raised to 20 for all characters this means a lot more fun. Also, due to fan request all characters will have the ability to jump.
There will be over 50 new collectable characters in the new SWAP Force games including:
- 16 new SWAP Force characters
- 16 new core Skylanders characters
- 8 light-core characters
- 16 new versions of fan favourite characters featuring the new “wow-pow” upgrade power.
Skylanders SWAP Force will be released to the Wii, Wii U, 3DS, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4. It will be released to those platforms on October 13, 2013 in North America, October 16, 2013 in Australia and October 18, 2013 in Europe.
