The Force is With Disney’s Club Penguin
Starting today, Disney’s Club Penguin, the #1 virtual world for kids is allowing you to train to become a Jedi and destroy the Death Star. That’s right, for three weeks only until August 13, you’ll be able to take part in the Star Wars universe try to defeat Darth Herbert. Dress as your favorite characters such as C-3PO, Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and many others using new costumes during this time.
“The Force is strong with the Club Penguin community, and Star Wars is by far the most requested event we have ever seen from our fans.” said Chris Heatherly, vice President and General Manager, Disney Interactive Worlds. “This is the biggest takeover in Club Penguin history with an epic size and scope!”
When the Millennium Falcon lands on Club Penguin Island you are called to join the Rebel Alliance and help save the galaxy from the evil Darth Herbert. Travel to Tatooine to train to become a Jedi Master while you duel with other players and earn points and exclusive items as you level up. When you aren’t training you can explore and role-play in the new Star Wars themed party rooms such as the Cantina, Sandcrawler, Lars Homestead and Mos Eisley.
After you’ve joined the Rebel Alliance you’ll be able to travel to the Death Star to search for Darth Herbert’s secret plans. Once you find them you take part in an all-new Tie Fighter mini game in an attempt to destroy the Death Star and receive the Rebellion’s highest honor. An out of this world award medal.
During the time of the Star Wars takeover event on Club Penguin Island:
- You can access a wide array of Star Wars inspired styles including a C-3PO mask, Chewbacca mask, Luke Skywalker costume, Han Solo costume and Princess Leia hair.
- Those who are training to become a Jedi Master can collect Jedi robes and cloaks, multi-colored lightsabers, an Obi-Wan Kenobi cloak and beard, Darth Vader helmet and costume and more.
