Disney Interactive Unveils Mobile Plans for Disney Infinity

Disney Interactive has unveiled today two mobile apps for use with the Disney Infinity video game being released on August 18.  Disney Infinity: Action! and Disney Infinity: Toy Box will be released soon and you’ll be able to extend your gaming experience to both of these apps.

Disney Infinity: Toy Box will allow players to create and edit their worlds from the iPads.  You’ll be able to transfer your creations from the iPad to your console simply by syncing up with your account on the console.  You’ll be able to download this app to your iPad in the coming weeks.

Within the app, you’ll be able to use intuitive touch controls to build and play in Toy Box mode.  You’ll also be able to transfer items cross-platform for editing and play and any item unlocked on the console will be available in the app.  You’ll also be able to play with Mr. Incredible for free and use web codes included with purchases or purchase items in the app to enable you to play with more than 20 of your favorite characters in the app.

Disney Infinity: Action! lets players become storytellers.  Using the new Movie Maker feature you’ll be able bring Disney/Pixar characters to live alongside yourself.  Playing alongside Mr. Incredible, Sulley and Jack Sparrow you’ll be able to use more than 30 props such as Buzz Lightyear’s jet pack to create your own story.  After you’re done making the movie you’ll be able to share it with your friends through email, Facebook and Youtube.

Disney Infintiy: Action! will be available on iTunes and in the Windows Store on August 15 and will be available through Google Play soon after.
