Gamer Grub – Food For The Gamer’s Soul Or Their Wallet?

We here at Wanderson75.net love looking at the gimmicky stuff targeted at gamers, and nothing sounds more contrived than a food formulated for the gaming populous.   Some “gamer formulated” foods have been not much more than attempts to introduce new, ambiguously flavored products with shady marketing, while others have outright failed before even hitting the store shelves.  Yet some merchandise has been able to enter the retail scene and pull enough sales to at least be profitable enough for a company to continue making it. Wanderson75.net’s Black Friday Picks and Tips

The inevitable is coming.  Along with the celebration and cheer that goes with our annual feast with loved ones we seldom see throughout the year, there is also the excitement or dread to be felt with the aftermath that will be met the following day: Black Friday.  So many stores offering door-crashing prices galore draw deal seekers young and old, far and wide to get up in the wee hours of the morning, and make their trek to every retailer they can to get the best deals possible.

So as a gamer, what’s the best place to go?  And what deals are best to look at?  Well, we here at Wanderson75.net might have a couple of recommendations! Read On »

GamePlay Retailer Could Give GameStop A Run For Consumer Dollars

A new videogame retail store has been insinuating itself into the Michigan scene lately, and it just might give gamers pause before running to the nearest Gamestop to plunk down their hard-earned cash for the latest Call of Duty or Assassin’s Creed. GamePlay, with four locations now in Southeastern Michigan (and sixteen more slated in the near future, with three being in Nevada) is fast expanding, and with good reason! These stores not only offer the same buy, sell, or trade policy, but retro-games and platforms too. Read On »

The Gamer Parent’s Guide To Gaming

Last year I did a piece titled “A Parent’s Guide To Video Games For Your Kids”, to help parents determine what kinds of games are appropriate for their little gamers.  But what about those parents who are gamers themselves?  What kinds of games should they grab to play alongside their gaming progeny?  How do you find balance between what Dad or Mom wants to play versus what your young ones should be exposed to?  Well, with a little help from a panel of pros at FamilyFriendlyVideogames.com, we explore these questions, and have the answers for you! Places To Do – Xbox 360 Central: Toronto

When Victoria told me about the location of the Disney event that she went to last week, I had to see this for myself.  Nestled in amongst the shops at 330 Queen Street, Toronto, about a block away from the Silver Snail (a phenomenal haunt for the comic aficionado), was a little nook emblazoned with the Xbox 360 logo.  Microsoft had set up shop with some of the latest titles available, and a few that weren’t, for the public to feast upon and try out.
