Borkowski: Hi, I’m Andy Borkowski with VideoGameSophistry. We’re talking today about the game that I want to play more than anything, come the end of the year: Hitman: Absolution. Can you tell us a little bit about it?

Smith: Absolutely. It’s been six years since we’ve seen Agent 47 in action, and Hitman: Absolution is his most personal journey to date. It actually involves, at the beginning of the game, assassinating his long-time handler, Diana. This flips everything on its side, and it turns out he needs to protect a young girl through a series of events that span from Chicago out to the badlands and back again. Read On »

Digifest 2012 with Warren Spector and Marv Wolfman

On October 18, 2012 famed game designer Warren Spector and game writer for Epic Mickey 2, Marv Wolfman, delivered a keynote speech at Toronto’s Corus Quay, as part of Digifest 2012. Focusing mainly on the upcoming Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, the talk detailed Warren Spector’s experiences with the creation process of both the original Epic Mickey and its sequel. Marv Wolfman focused more on his experience of writing for the game, which was interesting and enlightening, particularly with his descriptions of transitioning from comic to videogame writing. Ohio State University Marching Band Puts On Video Game Half-Time Show

Now and then in life, I run across something which makes me look at myself and want to push the limits.  Something which inspires me to discover out how high I can soar.

And then I see things which clearly illustrates how puny and pathetic most of my accomplishments will ultimately be.  Things like what the Ohio State Marching Band pulled off this last Saturday,   Aside from it being an amazing feat of coordination, it proves that with skill, innate talent, and tons of practice, you too can be part of an enormous Pikachu.
