Nintendo Announces Pokémon Black and White 2

This morning Nintendo announced the upcoming arrival of Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 coming to the Nintendo DS family of systems this Fall 2012 to stores in North America.  As part of a sneak peak into this soon to be hit title, Nintendo is showing off new character art of Black Kyurem and White Kyurem which can be seen here.  The game will be playable in 2D on the Nintendo 3DS.

People who are familiar with Frank Herbert’s 1965 science fiction masterpiece Dune will undoubtedly know about a few organizations; The Bene Gesserit, the Swordmasters, the Mentats, the Spacing Guild – even anyone who’s seen any of the film versions should be able to recall their importance.

In the world of Dune, these societies act as a backdrop, an Establishment the book’s hero subverts.

However, in Sisterhood of Dune, Kevin J. Anderson, prolific author of spin-off and tie-in novelizations in many popular science fiction IPs, and Brian Herbert, Frank Herbert’s son and auteur of the Dune expanded universe, attempt to anchor the creation of these institutions some 10,000 years before the events of the original story.   Sisterhood is the first novel in the Schools of Dune trilogy. So you’ve taken the plunge and laid down some serious coin to be ‘that kid’ with the coolest toy from Sony, the PlayStation Vita.  You’ve bought your games, dragged it home, lovingly removed it from its cardboard entombment, charged it, and played it till it died again.  So now the questions beg, “Where do I put it when I’m done?” and “Where do I throw it when I want to take it with me?”  Surely you wouldn’t think of just tossing that massive 5-inch OLED touch screen and glossy black finished box with a mirror sheen into your backpack with those books, laptop, pens and pencils without the proper protection, would you? Resistance: Burning Skies For PS Vita Dated – Boxart Released

Sony announced yesterday via their Vita Live Chat that Resistance: Burning Skies for the PlayStation Vita will be in stores on May 29th.

This will be the first dual-analog first person shooter to hit the new console.  All eyes will be on this game to see exactly how well the handheld will handle an FPS. The game has been built from the ground up to take advantage of the PlayStation Vita’s control scheme including the use of the front and rear touchpads.
