Freddie Prinze Jr. – Jessica Chobot Joining Cast of Mass Effect 3
Electronic Arts announced today that Freddie Prinze Jr. (Scooby Doo, I Know What You Did Last Summer, 24) and G4 TV’s Jessica Chobot will be joining the star-studded cast of Mass Effect 3; the final game in Bioware’s epic sci-fi trilogy. Prinze Jr. will will voice the character of James Varga, a marine who joins Commander Shepard’s crew in their mission to take on the relentless Reapers, a race of ancient beings bent on destroying all life in the galaxy starting with Earth.
Bioware Confirms – Mass Effect 3 Demo Releasing Feb. 14
As if you didn’t have a busy enough week with the early release of the PlayStation Vita! Gamers will be delighted to know that the final episode in the epic sci-fi trilogy, Mass Effect 3 will have a demo available to everyone on PSN, XBLA, and PC this February 14!
“We are excited to be able to give gamers an expansive demo that will put them right on the front lines of this all-out galactic war,” said Casey Hudson, Executive Producer of the Mass Effect series. “The entire scale of the game is bigger than anything we’ve ever done. EA and Bioware Announce New Pre-Order Gear for Mass Effect 3
Electronic Arts and Bioware today revealed some new goodies available to players who pre-order the upcoming finale to the mega-hit franchise, Mass Effect 3. The items will be available via a DLC code which will be included with your purchase of the game as a reward to those who ordered early.
We Don’t Work For Sarif – Syndicate
As previously discussed, evolution is a necessary thing. Both the original Syndicate and its sequel were objective-based point-and-click affairs managed from an isometric view. Such a game, unless handled very carefully, will not translate well to the console environment. Numerous RTS titles have failed in spectacular fashion to illustrate this point, so Starbreeze adapted the IP order to allow it to survive. It has been reinvented in order to not only meet the wants of the gaming masses, but also to approach a beloved IP from a new direction.

Change your passwords…again…
An early-morning email blast from BioWare Edmonton notified folks the legacy servers supporting the Neverwinter Nights forums were, you guessed it, hacked. Roll call of the vulnerable info includes (per the email):
“user names, encrypted passwords, email addresses, mailing addresses, names, phone numbers, CD keys and birth dates from these forum accounts on the system may have been compromised, as well as other information (if any) that you may have associated with your EA Account.”
Anyone else a touch worried about that last line?
